 La fabbrica di fisarmoniche Scandalli è sponsor del Video Archive and Education Project, 2023 Coupe Mondiale, 5-9 Settembre, Bosnia ed Erzegovina. Il "Video Archive Education Project" è un progetto avviato nel 2010 dalla Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) con l'assistenza di sponsor e Accordions Worldwide. I video dovrebbero essere online circa 1 ora dopo l'esibizione dal vivo o la competizione dal vivo e gli spettatori potranno scaricare gratuitamente le competizioni della Coupe Mondiale riproducendo una vasta gamma di diversi tipi e stili di musica. Il progetto include un video di tutte le categorie Coupe Mondiale e dei loro concorrenti da conservare negli archivi della CIA in Finlandia, che nei prossimi anni diventerà un patrimonio di registrazioni storiche, tra cui la prima di molte opere originali per fisarmonica e l'emergere di imminenti artisti alla Coupe Mondiale.  Video: Tango pour Carla di Fernando Ávila, cantata da Martina Jembrišak (Croazia).Fernando Ávila (foto a sinistra) ha vinto un premio di composizione al 2023 Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM) Musicians Contest a Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasile, con il suo pezzo "Tango pour Carla". La musica è stata arrangiata per fisarmonica e archi ed è stata ispirata dal nuovo tango di Astor Piazzolla. Il titolo del brano fa riferimento a Tango pour Claude, del fisarmonicista francese Richard Galliano. "Tango pour Carla" è stato eseguito in anteprima nell'aprile 2020 dalla fisarmonicista Martina Jembrišak (Croazia), nel suo progetto 60 Seconds of Accordion. Nello stesso anno, il fisarmonicista polacco Nikodem Sobek ha eseguito il brano al Trophée Mondial De L'accordéon, nel quale si è aggiudicato il 2° posto. Nel 2021, Sobek ha eseguito questo brano anche quando è stato campione del mondo senior al 46° PIF di Castelfidardo, in Italia, e alla 74° Coupe Mondiale (Concorso Internazionale di Fisarmonica), a Monaco di Baviera, in Germania, dove ha vinto il 2° premio nella categoria Virtuoso Entertainment. Fernando Ávila presenterà in anteprima questo pezzo in Brasile, eseguendolo con l'Orquestra de Cordas da Orquestra Sinfônica de Santa Maria, il 22 agosto alle 20:00, presso il Centro Congressi dell'Università Federale di Santa Maria, situato nel Campus Universitario. |

| I Black Pencil (in cui milita il fisarmonicista Marko Kassl) saranno in tournée in Indonesia dal 20 al 30 agosto 2023 con uno spettacolo intitolato "Topeng Masquerade". Il gruppo sarà affiancato dai sei elementi del Gamelon Ensemble Kyai Fatahillah e comprenderà concerti, dimostrazioni e workshop a Bandung e Yogyakarta. Entrambi i gruppi hanno iniziato la loro collaborazione nel novembre 2022 nei Paesi Bassi con concerti ad Amsterdam, Utrecht e Almere. Il loro programma 2023 includerà nuove composizioni di Roderik de Man (Paesi Bassi), Dyane Donck (Paesi Bassi) e compositori indonesiani Iwan Gunawan, Jay Afrisando, Aldy Maulana e Nursalim Yadi Anugerah, integrate con arrangiamenti speciali di Wayang Topeng. | Il 26° Campionato Mondiale di Fisarmonica e Fisarmonica Diatonica si terrà a Borgorose (RI), Italia, dall'8 al 10 settembre 2023 organizzato dall'A.M.I.SA.D. APS (Associazione Musicale Italiana Strumenti ad Aria, Diatonici) di Maiolati Spontini (AN), in collaborazione con l'Associazione "Gli Amici dell'Organetto di Corvaro" di Borgorose (RI), l'Associazione "Amici della Musica APS" di San Benedetto del Tronto (AP), il Centro Didattico Musicale Italiano di Recoaro Terme (VI), con il patrocinio del Comune di Borgorose (RI), della "Fondazione Varrone" Cassa di Risparmio di Rieti e del Comune di Pescorocchiano (RI). L'evento è aperto a candidati di qualsiasi nazionalità, con strumenti diatonici di qualsiasi tipo. Il concorso si svolgerà presso la sede dell'Istituto Omnicomprensivo Borgorose sito a Borgorose (RI). | "Zamar" presenterà il loro nuovo spettacolo dal vivo "Dis Zamar Lekker" al Drostdy Theater di Stellenbosch, in Sud Africa, l'8 settembre 2023. I partecipanti possono "aspettarsi una festa per le orecchie" dal gruppo che comprende Veronica Bell (violino e voce), Monika Stuchlik Kahl (fisarmonica, voce e altre sorprese strumentali), Philip Vermeulen (chitarra), Warren Joubert (basso) e Ronald Siegelaar (batteria).  Stan Schofield, along with his late wife Marian, was a very successful and respected accordion teacher, orchestra musical director, and NAO area festival organizer, from Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire. Stan was the founder of the Stan Schofield Accordion School in 1972 which later changed to the Burton Accordion Society.Burton-on-Trent was a special place in the history of the accordion in the UK. In 1935 accordionists Les Beckley, Stan Kersey and Ron Wildsmith founded the West Burton Piano Accordion School, which began a long tradition of accordion activity that has lasted until the present time. Stan and Marian Schofield took up the baton in the post-war years, and their orchestras had many successes in regional and national NAO festivals, and also in the world famous Llangollen Eisteddfod in Wales. The Stan Schofield Accordion Orchestra won the Art Level orchestra section at the NAO All Britain Championships in 1980, perhaps their crowning achievement in competitions. Leading accordionists from Stan Schofield’s orchestras include John Chilton, Karen Street, Kevin Street, Karina Fodden, and the NAO many times competition winning duo Julie Patrick & Alison Johnson. Stan Schofield, born on December 10th, 1931, passed away on August 3rd, 2023. He will be greatly missed. |

 The “Good Habits” Duo will perform at a number of festivals in the UK this month.The duo, which features accordionist Pete Shaw and singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz, will perform at the Broadstairs Folk Week in England from August 14th to 16th, followed by the Just So Festival at the Rode Hall Estate in Cheshire, England on August 19th. The Oxford Storytelling Festival will be held at the Waterperry Gardens in Waterperry, Oxford and the Shrewsbury Folk Festival will be held at the Shropshire and West Midland Agricultural Showgrounds in Shrewsbury.
