Herbert Scheibenreif si trovano a: 2019Moscow Il 32° International Festival "Bayan and Bayanists" e il VII International Bayanists and Accordionists Competition si terranno presso la Russian Academy of Music (RAM) Gnesin a Mosca dal 13 al 20 dicembre 2020. Gli sponsor dell'evento sono il Ministero della Cultura della Federazione Russa, il Governo di Mosca, il Comitato per la Cultura della Città di Mosca, Russian Academy of Music Gnesin e la Fondazione di beneficenza Friedrich Lips. La competizione è per musicisti dai 18 ai 32 anni e consisterà in tre round: due qualificazioni e una finale. I concorrenti non devono ripetere alcuna opera e possono usare un bayan o una fisarmonica di qualsiasi tipo, dimensione, modello (senza elettronica). L'organizzazione dell'evento è guidata dal direttore artistico Friedrich Lips e Alexander Gataullin (foto sotto). Le iscrizioni chiudono il 25 ottobre 2020. "Skerryvore" Video Tributo ai Lavoratori del NHS - Scoziaby Christine Johnstone |

 "Skerryvore" (che comprende i fratelli Daniel e Martin Gillespie - foto sotto) hanno registrato un singolo e un video speciali come tributo ai lavoratori del NHS che combattono il coronavirus.La band è stata devastata nell’annunciare che hanno dovuto annullare il loro concerto per il 15° anniversario al Castello di Inveraray a giugno di quest'anno a causa dei Covid-19. Tutti i biglietti acquistati saranno rimborsati al 100% nei prossimi 10-14 giorni dalla piattaforma di biglietti Eventbrite. Volevano andare avanti con positività e guardare al futuro con speranza e ottimismo, da qui questa nuova registrazione. Il singolo intitolato "Everyday Heroes", che è stato arrangiato, mixato e masterizzato da Scott Wood di Skerryvore, uscirà questa settimana su Tyree Records ed è stato scritto dal fisarmonicista Martin Gillespie. Altri venti musicisti si sono uniti alla registrazione, inclusi i musicisti di Mànran (che includono il fisarmonicista Gary Innes - foto a sinistra). A causa del blocco, il singolo e il video sono stati registrati da remoto, in isolamento, in varie posizioni.  I fisarmonicisti di tutto il mondo si sono riuniti per formare la Global Accordion Project Orchestra (GAPO) e dare questo spettacolo virtuale di "Peace" di Ian Watson.Poiché il mondo ha chiuso i battenti alle esibizioni di musica dal vivo, ha creato l'opportunità di vedere la musica in un modo completamente diverso. Molti artisti nel corso degli anni hanno usato la tecnologia per insegnare, mostrando esibizioni soliste/di gruppo o orchestre dal vivo in streaming. Il mondo della fisarmonica non fa eccezione e dal blocco nel Regno Unito, Ian Watson (direttore musicale della London Accordion Orchestra) e Sam Cullen hanno creato la "Global Accordion Project Orchestra". Il pezzo selezionato è stato intitolato "Peace" di Ian Watson. Questo pezzo è stato selezionato come progetto globale inaugurale in quanto è stato composto da Ian Watson e ha rilasciato il copyright. È stato ispirato dalla sua visita ai campi di battaglia della Normandia e dagli sbarchi sulla spiaggia della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Direttori delle sezioni: 1° - Julie Luck (Regno Unito) 2° - Marco Rottig (Germania) 3° - Grayson Masefield (Nuova Zelanda) 4° - Kevin Friedrich (Stati Uniti) Basso - Liz Finch (USA) Principal Percussionist - James Hulme (Regno Unito) Ci sono stati 112 musicisti di 15 paesi diversi che hanno inviato un file video o audio. I musicisti hanno usato la performance della LAO 2017 alla Union Chapel come supporto per le loro registrazioni personali. Tutto ciò ha richiesto 80 ore di editing per mettere tutto insieme. Quello che sembra un compito semplice, imparare una parte individuale, suonare la parte e registrare la tua parte, non è stato il caso di molti musicisti. Le foto "dietro le quinte" della fotocamera e degli allestimenti sono state abbastanza creative e mostrano la quantità di tempo e fatica necessaria. Grazie Ian Watson e Sam Cullen da me stesso e da tutti i musicisti che hanno preso parte a questa emozionante esperienza. Se ti sei perso la possibilità di far parte di questa performance, o semplicemente vuoi partecipare di nuovo, ci sarà un altro progetto globale a maggio, i dettagli saranno annunciati dalla LAO. |

 La polizia neozelandese è stata così colpita da una canzone della fisarmonicista e cantante neozelandese Emma Wollum che hanno pubblicato il suo video sulla loro pagina Facebook, come parte della loro serie Creative Genius in Nuova Zelanda. Il video è qui sopra.Hanno scritto: "Il genio creativo neozelandese Emma Wollum di Auckland è un'affermata fisarmonicista, cantante e comica. Ecco la sua brillante canzone "Stay Away from Me".  Video: Giants in the Trees - "Center of the Earth" (LIVE Official Video) from their first album.Rock band “Giants in the Trees” have released their second album Giants in the Trees Volume 2 (CD cover above) which includes a collection of ten songs and a lyric booklet. The group includes Krist Novoselic (accordion - picture left), Erik Friend (drums), Ray Prestegard (guitar) and Jillian Raye (bass & vocals). The video above also includes Jennifer Johnson (vocals). They love to create melody and variety in their music and strive for personality within each of their songs. It's fair to recognize some classic Country with the banjo, slide and accordion and their goal is to have as much fun as possible! |

 Susan O’Neill (ISME President) and Elina Laakso (Chair, Helsinki 2020 Conference Committee) have announced that the International Society of Music Education (ISME) is cancelling the 34th World Conference that was due to take place in Helsinki, Finland from August 2nd to 7th, 2020. This decision was reached through a unanimous vote of the ISME Board on March 30th, 2020 after consultation with the Helsinki 2020 Conference Team and Uniarts Helsinki.They value their biennial, face-to-face meetings and the opportunities they afford for sharing and discussing scholarship and practice, celebrating music making, and networking both formally and informally with colleagues from around the world. Sadly, as a result of COVID-19 and the travel and economic impact that is happening around the world, it is no longer feasible for ISME to hold an international conference in Helsinki in 2020. However, they are working on plans to reimagine some opportunities for virtual presentations and meetings that will enable them to honour their professional responsibility to share significant research and practice. They will provide more information about their plans for virtual activities as soon as possible. In addition, the ISME Board will be spending the next few months reviewing options for holding the next ISME World Conference in 2022. An announcement will be made to all members as soon as a decision is reached by the Board. |

  La CIA è lieta di darvi il benvenuto al World Accordion Day (WAD) sulla piattaforma di streaming Facebook ufficiale della Coupe Mondiale.Dal 2009, ogni 6 maggio, la CIA promuove la Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica. La prima si è tenuta il 6 maggio 2009, in occasione del 180° compleanno della fisarmonica - 6 maggio 1829, data in cui la fisarmonica è stata brevettata per la prima volta, a Vienna, in Austria, da Cyrillius Demien. Per il 2020, con gran parte del mondo in blocco e limitato alle loro case, la CIA organizza uno spettacolo di 12 ore sullo streaming Facebook della Coupe Mondiale. Tutte le registrazioni, le interviste e le esibizioni saranno inoltre pubblicate sul sito web del World Accordion Day e sul server della Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica e sulle piattaforme locali della Cina. I conduttori dello spettacolo sono l'ex presidente della CIA e l'attuale ambasciatore della CIA Kevin Friedrich (USA) e il vice presidente del CIA Music Committee Grayson Masefield con l'assistenza tecnica del CIA Public Relations Harley Jones e lo staff di Accordions Wordwide.  Updated Site: The NZAA has announced major changes to the 2020 South Pacific and New Zealand Accordion Championships for Saturday 30 May 2020. The event will not be a public event due to the Covid-19 situation and the number of categories has been reduced to the major South Pacific Accordion Championship categories. The NZ World Accordion Day Concert has also been changed and will now be a video concert without audience. For the South Pacific Championships, the NZAA has booked a small hall, Rose Centre, Devonport, where contestants only will perform without audience, to a small jury. Additionally, the NZAA has also made provision to run these classes digitally by contestants using their phone to video from home if use of the hall is prevented by New Zealand Government Covid-19 regulation. With these plans in place, the competitions will definitely be taking place for these categories and the message by the NZAA to potential entrants is "Keep Practising" as there is definitely going to be a competition. This might be a template for other accordion associations to follow at this difficult time. |
