  Il presidente della CIA Mirco Patarini ha scritto: "Sono lieto di accogliere i partecipanti provenienti da molte parti del mondo che parteciperanno alla 71° edizione della Coupe Mondiale che si terrà a Kaunas, in Lituania, dal 24 al 30 settembre.Ci sono circa 90 concorrenti e 66 delegati internazionali registrati da 25 diverse nazioni in tutto il mondo e tutti coloro che parteciperanno potranno assistere a gare di altissimo livello." La città di Kaunas con la Lithuanian National Accordionist's Union, il presidente Kazys Stonkus, il vicepresidente Mindaugas Labanauskas, stanno preparando un evento eccezionale. Il presidente Patarini ha aggiunto: "Durante la Coupe Mondiale del 2018 ci saranno anche concerti entusiasmanti, la "World Accordion Orchestra X" e i delegati della CIA terranno la loro 140° Assemblea Generale in cui si discuteranno una serie di affari internazionali, tra cui l'elezione di molti ufficiali della CIA. Per coloro che non sono in grado di partecipare alla Coupe Mondiale 2018, potrete vedere i report giornalieri completi, le foto, le informazioni e i video di ciascun concorrente, incluso il concerto dei vincitori e la premiazione finale di sabato 30 settembre, tutto online su Coupe Mondiale. A nome della CIA, non vedo l'ora di dare il benvenuto ai membri della giuria internazionale e ai delegati di tutto il mondo e auguro il meglio a tutti i concorrenti nelle ultime settimane della loro preparazione".   Il Comune di Castelfidardo (Regione Marche, Italia), in collaborazione con l'Associazione Turistica Pro Loco di Castelfidardo, convoca e organizza il Concorso Internazionale PIF "Città di Castelfidardo" riservato a solisti e gruppi di fisarmonica, di musica classica e altri generi.L'amministrazione comunale di Castelfidardo è guidata dal sindaco Roberto Ascani, dalla Pro Loco di Castelfidardo presieduta da Ruben Cittadini e dal direttore artistico dell'evento Renzo Ruggieri. L'evento si svolgerà a Castelfidardo (AN, regione Marche) dal 9 al 16 settembre 2018 e sarà aperto a tutti i fisarmonicisti. Friedrich Lips, un famoso artista della fisarmonica classica moderna, terrà un seminario: "La fisarmonica russa degli ultimi decenni", 16 settembre, all'Auditorium Binci alle 9:30.  Immagine in alto da sinistra a destra: José Alfonso Maslucán Culqui - Presidente Associazione della Fisarmonica del PerùPatricia Balbuena - Ministro della Cultura del Perù Mauro Marsili - Ambasciatore Italiano Mirco Patarini Marisol Espinoza Cruz - Membro del Congresso James Atkins - Presidente di Petroperú La "Asociacion de Accordeonistas de Peru" (Associazione dei Fisarmonicisti del Perù) recentemente formata, il 25 agosto ha dato il benvenuto al loro primo concerto internazionale al fisarmonicista Mirco Patarini, che è anche il presidente della CIA (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes). L'evento che presenta la nuova associazione nazionale di fisarmonica più un concerto con gruppi etnici locali e una masterclass, è organizzato con la collaborazione delle autorità locali tra cui il Ministro della Cultura Patricia Balbuena, il Presidente della suddetta associazione Alfonso Maslucan e Marisol Espinoza Cruz, Membro del Congresso e importante figura politica in Perù. Il concerto si è svolto a Lima nel grande Teatro del Centro Culturale di San Isidro ed era tutto esaurito. Mirco Patarini ha incantato il pubblico con la sua esibizione di diversi stili musicali in sintonia con l'obiettivo di promuovere l'arte, la cultura, la musica e la tradizione della fisarmonica, sia il genere folk che il repertorio di concerti. Durante gli interventi alla fine, Mirco Patarini ha invitato la nuova associazione "a presentare la domanda di adesione alla CIA con la speranza di avere concorrenti peruviani nelle future Coupe Mondiale, la più antica e più importante competizione internazionale di fisarmonica". Mirco Patarini è stato onorato di ricevere dal Congresso della Repubblica del Perù un certificato di "Riconoscimento a Mirco Patarini per il suo prezioso e costante sostegno nella promozione e diffusione della cultura e della fisarmonica peruviana". Il certificato è stato firmato da Daniel Enrique Salaverry Villa (Presidente del Congresso della Repubblica) e dal Membro del Congresso Marisol Espinoza Cruz che ha anche consegnato il prestigioso certificato a Mirco Patarini. Era presente anche il proprietario delle compagnie aeree della LATAM, l'Ambasciatore di Santo Domingo, il Presidente della Commissione per la Cultura del governo e molte altre persone importanti del Perù. |

 La Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) annuncia l'edizione del 10° anniversario della magnifica World Accordion Orchestra che si terrà come parte della 71° edizione della Coupe Mondiale e della 140° CIA International General Assembly of Delegates Congress a Kaunas, in Lituania.L'evento sarà ospitato dal membro della CIA The Lithuanian National Accordionists's Union dal 24 al 30 settembre 2018, il concerto World Accordion Orchestra X si terrà domenica 30 settembre 2018. Fondata a Washington DC, nel 2007 dal direttore musicale e membro onorario della CIA, Joan Sommers, la "World Accordion Orchestra X" si esibirà in tre opere di tre diversi compositori americani. 1. Serenata di Leroy Anderson 2. Recuerdos di Amy Jo Sawyer 3. West Side Story: la CIA si unisce alla celebrazione del centenario globale in onore del 100° anniversario di Leonard Bernstein. La prof. Joan Sommers ha ricevuto il titolo di Professore Emerita al suo ritiro dall'Università del Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory of Music (USA), dove ha fondato e insegnato il programma di laurea per fisarmonica per quarant'anni. Questa è un'opportunità unica per i fisarmonicisti per candidarsi a suonare in una grande orchestra internazionale alla Coupe Mondiale 2018 e godersi l’esperienza di suonare sotto la famosa bacchetta di Joan C.  In pdf format sent to you by email.The Lilliput series by Ivano Battiston is not an accordion method but a collection of small musical forms, divided into five volumes, inspired by the Mikrokosmos by Béla Bartók and composed with the following didactic intents: - offer musical material - to the accordionist with a single note instrument - from the very first lessons up to the thresholds of a medium level preparation (fifth year of study); - bring the scholar closer to most musical forms and to a heterogeneous sound world; - lead the young accordionist towards a gradual exploration of the instrument, through an active participation in the problems of musical interpretation; - increase instrumental skills through learning based on the increase in the number of sounds; - introduce the scholar to the orchestral dimension of the accordion, also creating compositions inspired by the characteristics of the other musical instruments. The pieces can be played with any type of instrument provided with single notes. Volumes II and III of Lilliput! are required for the accordion admission exam in Italian music high schools (Licei musicali).  I became the AAA Historian six months before the association’s 70th anniversary in 2008. It came as a shock to me when I was told that there had never been an official historian prior to myself and that there were no files, no organized photographs, no documents – nothing that was readily accessible to me. I had to start from scratch. I was totally determined to come up with a reasonable 70 year presentation for the July festival, so I turned to my wonderful mentor, Faithe Deffner. “I will help you”, said Faithe, and she certainly did!  ‘60 at Sixty’ is a new release from Sean Wilson. During nearly thirty years of recording and performing, the Irish accordion player and singer has accumulated a huge repertoire of songs. On this new three disc project he combines 6 new songs, 14 of his most memorable recordings, 20 songs that are not released on CD and a newly created DVD: ‘You Can't Turn Back The Years’. The DVD describes Sean's earliest days growing up around Lough Neagh in County Derry and his improbable but richly earned successes. He goes on to describe the highs and lows of his career and features his best performances on video. After nearly three decades entertaining global audiences, this release is the first time Sean features a compilation of his most popular songs and will be a great introduction to those who don't know his work so well.Sean Wilson, from Derry in Northern Ireland, began playing the accordion as a young boy when his father bought him an instrument. He joined a local ceili band, played at dances, then one night was prompted to sing a song, leading Sean to do more singing. This eventually led to a record deal, and over the years his prolific CD and DVD sales have been huge throughout Ireland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. | The 11th Annual Noir Festival returns to East Vancouver September 14 – 16, 2018 at the Wise Hall. They have a full slate of talent lined up including singer and author Geoff Berner who is also billed as the patron Saint of the Accordion Noir movement. Geoff has participated in many of the festivals and is determined to show an entire generation of accordion punks that another, less bubbly, world is possible. Also taking part in the festival is legendary busker-king Jason Webley returning to the festival after a long absence who will be spinning yarns like a Russian sailor we hear. Also performing is Emchy who is inspired by 1920s cabaret music, murder ballads and Leonard Cohen. Saturday’s festivities include a Polka Party, so come on down and kick up your heels and dance. The festival kicks off Friday evening at 8:00 pm. Admission is $20. Advance tickets for Saturday’s dance party available through Brown Paper Tickets. |

 Scottish accordionist and singer Ronnie Ross entertains at Armstrong's Social Club, Grovehill Road, Beverley HU17 0ED, near Hull, on Saturday September 15th and Sunday 16th. On Saturday evening Ronnie Ross plays for ballroom and sequence dancing, and on Sunday afternoon performs a concert of Country, Scottish and East Listening music.Ronnie Ross, from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, comes from a musical family. A self-taught accordionist, he is a resident entertainer in several hotels, and also owns a recording studio. He has recorded several CDs and DVDs, the most recent being a CD of Scottish accordion music, ‘Scottish Accordion Gems’. |

| The trio Kosmos concerts perform in concert on Saturday 15th, 7.30pm, at the Curry Rivel Music Club, St Andrew's Church, The Green, Curry Rivel, near Langport, Somerset. Kosmos are Harriet Mackenzie – violin, Meg Hamilton – viola, and Miloš Milivojevic – accordion. Serbian-born Miloš Milivojevic is a first prize winner at international competitions in Germany, France, Italy and Denmark. In Serbia he studied with Vojin Vasovic, and with Owen Murray at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he graduated and was awarded with Dip RAM. In 2007 he became the first accordionist ever to win the RAM Club Prize at the Academy and in the 2008 was the Winner of the prestigious Derek Butler London Prize at the Wigmore Hall, London.
