Il concerto "Accordion on Wheels" celebra la Giornata mondiale della fisarmonica – Indiaby Christine Johnstone |

 La United News of India ha pubblicato questa settimana una notizia sulla celebrazione della "Accordion on Wheels" per la Giornata mondiale della fisarmonica in India.L'evento, che fa parte dell'iniziativa "Celebration on Wheels", vedrà la partecipazione di quattro fisarmonicisti che eseguiranno nostalgici canti indù all'interno della metropolitana di Pune a Pune, in India, a partire dall'atrio della stazione della metropolitana Vanaz a Kothrud il 6 maggio 2023. Le canzoni saranno suonate fino alla stazione della metropolitana Garware, quindi riprodotte nel viaggio di ritorno alla stazione della metropolitana Vanaz. Hemant Urdhwareshe, Chandu Kale e Ram Aswani si esibiranno con l'ospite d'onore Anil Gode. Il loro programma includerà una canzone nostalgica marathi legata ai treni. |

| La musica di Karlsson a Fjärås kyrkby, in Svezia, celebrerà la Giornata mondiale della fisarmonica (WAD) con il tema "Fisarmonicista dell'anno" il 6 maggio 2023. Il loro negozio sarà "open house" con diversi artisti che si esibiranno durante il giorno: Håkan Andersson che si esibisce insieme al chitarrista Claes Ottelid e Beiron Hultman. Beiron è stato votato dai membri di SDR (Sveriges Dragspelares Riksförbund) come "Dragsplayer of the Year" in Svezia nel 2022 e Håkan è stato votato nel 2023, quindi sono gli ultimi due a ricevere questo titolo onorevole che sperimenteremo sullo stesso palco a Fjärås. L'evento includerà anche mostre, caffè e dolci durante il giorno e alcune offerte speciali.  Nel 2023, Martynas Levickis (foto a sinistra di Sebastian-Madej) darà forma all'Estate del Festival come vincitore in 26 concerti ed eventi. Ciò significa che il fisarmonicista lituano può finalmente mettere in pratica la sua residenza (prevista per il 2020).Il suo concerto di apertura del festival tradizionale si svolgerà presso la Neubrandenburg Konzertkirche (Chiesa dei concerti) a Neubrandenburg, Meclemburgo-Pomerania occidentale, Germania il 17 giugno 2023 alle 18:00. "Martynas stesso ha scritto l'Ouverture del Festival per questa occasione. Inoltre, il lituano mostra la diversità della fisarmonica con Rhapsody in Blue di Gershwin." È supportato dalla NDR Radiophilharmonie, diretta da Delyana Lazarova. | Il fisarmonicista Ryan Corbett suonerà in occasione del 75° Festival di Bath che si terrà a Bath, Inghilterra, Regno Unito insieme a Emma Baird (violino) il prossimo 19 maggio 2023 presso la Guildhall. Il festival 2023 si svolgerà dal 12 al 21 maggio e includerà una varietà di spettacoli, conferenze, workshop e passeggiate. Ha una profonda conoscenza di tutte le produzioni nazionali di fisarmonica e AWW ha avuto il permesso di pubblicare la sua documentazione nel 2010 - Chronology of Italian Accordions Già alla giovane età di 19 anni, nel 1963, fece il suo primo approccio con la fisarmonica in occasione del primo centenario della fondazione dell'industria fisarmonicistica italiana e poi dedicò una vita intera alla promozione dello strumento. È con orgoglio personale che ha potuto dedicarsi al progetto "Museo della Fisarmonica di Castelfidardo", di cui è stato co-fondatore e direttore per 33 anni. Nel 1984 è arrivato un altro momento importante: per la prima volta, grazie all’impegno del ministro della Pubblica Istruzione e di dodici direttori dei maggiori Conservatori italiani, è stata istituita una cattedra di fisarmonica classica presso il conservatorio Rossini di Pesaro e successivamente in alcune scuole Medie ad indirizzo musicale. Numerosi eventi e manifestazioni internazionali lo portano a Geilo/Oslo, Tokyo, Francoforte, Los Angeles, San Paolo del Brasile, Shanghai, Sidney, Londra, Parigi - sempre come promotore della fisarmonica presentando la città di Castelfidardo e i suoi produttori di strumenti musicali. Numerose le apparizioni in TV, le conferenze per importanti istituzioni come l'ICE (Istituto per il Commercio Estero) e le pubblicazioni e gli articoli sulla fisarmonica su riviste specializzate. Il prossimo maggio si celebreranno i venti anni di gemellaggio tra due importanti città conosciute in tutto il mondo per la loro produzione di fisarmoniche: Castelfidardo e Klingenthal (nel 2003 gli ideatori furono Beniamino ed Aldo Belmonti con il sostegno dell'allora sindaco Tersilio Marotta e dell'allora vicesindaco Mirco Soprani). Nel maggio 2023 ricorrerà il ventesimo anniversario del gemellaggio tra due importanti città conosciute in tutto il mondo per la produzione di fisarmoniche: Castelfidardo e Klingenthal Grazie a Beniamino Bugiolacchi per l'entusiasmo con cui ha reso la fisarmonica parte dei suoi viaggi, racconti e collaborazioni, per integrarla in TV, film, spettacoli, documentari, conservatori, lezioni, mostre e numerose pubblicazioni come “Artigiani del suono”. | Picture top: Hazim Mehmedic who achieved the highest number of points of all participants of the festival and thus won the challenge cup. The first festival "Dani Harmonike" took place in Ugljevik in 2009, organized by the elementary music school "Kornelije Stankovic". In addition to concerts, seminars and specialist lectures, competitions for harmonica soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras were held, evaluated by an international expert jury made up of renowned and proven music teachers and performers from several countries. In recent years the festival has hosted top artists such as Vladimir Murza, Alexander Sklyarov, Yuri Shishkin, Pavel Fenjuk, Alexander Poeluev, Sergey Osokin, Eduard Akhanov, Irina Serotyuk, Juan Ignasia Rueda, Vladimir Olejnik, Winfried Hackl, Yevgeni Kobyakov, Ljubiša Pavkovic, Narodnog, the RTS orchestra, the Balkan Strings trio and many other artists from home and abroad. Thanks to the excellent organization, high evaluation criteria and great guests, according to many prominent music critics, the festival soon gained great reputation, like other recognized European and world festivals with a long tradition. The special significance of the festival also lies in the fact that it is the first accordion festival to be organized in Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, making it one of the rare festivals in two different countries. The "Dani Harmonike" festival was intended to promote and validate cultural and musical creativity in this region. Over the past nine years, however, it has deservedly gained much greater prominence, becoming a heritage event that celebrated its 15th anniversary this year. It has contributed to the affirmation and promotion of the accordion, both in the region and in Europe and the world. The most famous names in the accordion world were successfully welcomed, but also motivated and showcased many young talents. Many countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina have been represented at previous "Accordion Days". This year around 150 young accordionists from 20 countries met to determine their best in 9 solo, 5 entertainment and 3 chamber music categories. Many participants surprised the international jury with their performances, which were already very mature at a young age. Special mention should be made of Agafya Glotova - Davydova (Israel), Peter Sokol (Slovakia), Luca Bello (Italy) and Petar Dincic (Serbia). Hazim Mehmedic (BIH - picture top) achieved the highest number of points of all participants of the festival and thus won the challenge cup. Alexej Murza (Ukraine), Artjom Nizhnik (Israel), Radu Ratoi (Moldova) and Yuri Shishkin (Russia) were invited as guest soloists for the evening concerts who greatly impressed the audience with their outstanding interpretation of works from different epochs. Once again, Slavisa Peric, as organizer, made the 15th edition of the "Dani Harmonike" possible. In September he will organize the 76th Coupe Mondiale of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), and in December the next "Accordion Festival" will follow in Graz (Austria).  The XXVI International Competition & Festival of Performers on Musical Instruments based on video recordings will be held from May 25th to June 5th, 2023 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.The competition is aimed at students of music schools, children's art schools, education centers, educational institutions of secondary and higher professional education, teachers of primary, secondary and higher educational institutions as well as professional, amateur, non-professional groups and performers.  The 2023 Big Squeeze Youth Accordion Championships will be hosted by Texas Folklife on May 13th, 2023 at 1pm, at the Texas Spirit Theatre in the Bullock Museum, Austin, Texas, USA.The championship round of the 17th annual statewide Big Squeeze Youth Accordion Contest features talented young accordion players from across Texas. The event is free and open to the public. The event will also feature performances from Josh Baca & the Hot Tamales, fronted by Los Texmaniacs’ Grammy-nominated accordionist Josh Baca, and North Texas accordion teacher and musician Elena Fainshtein (picture right).  The Accordion Pops Orchestra, conducted by Al Terzo, will perform at the 300th anniversary celebrations of the South Presbyterian Church in Bergenfield, New Jersey, USA on May 20th, 2023 at 5pm.The orchestra consists entirely of accordions plus percussion instruments. There are about 30 members including professionals, teachers, and amateur musicians. | Il 2° Festival annuale della fisarmonica di Powell River si terrà a Powell River, British Columbia, Canada, il 5 e 6 maggio 2023, diretto da Walter Martella e Karina Inkster. L'evento inizierà con un concerto di apertura con tre fisarmonicisti e altri musicisti di diversi gruppi, tra cui una band di tango di 5 elementi, un quartetto jazz, duetti classici e klezmer e altro ancora. Il giorno seguente (6 maggio) sarà dedicato alla Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica (WAD) con un ricco programma di eventi, tra cui una masterclass guidata da Jelena Milojevic, esibizioni open mic di fisarmonicisti di tutti i livelli, un workshop klezmer e Accordion 101 per principianti assoluti. In entrambi i giorni sarà presentato "Tempo Trend" (un negozio specializzato in fisarmoniche con sede a Victoria, BC), che terrà vendite e riparazioni di fisarmoniche, spartiti, accessori per fisarmonica e altro ancora.  Il Dr. Mike Middleton sostiene il World of Accordions Museum Dr. Willard A Palmer Festival, che si tiene ogni fine settimana della Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica.Mike Middleton, fisarmonicista texano e membro del consiglio di amministrazione dell'AWAM, sostiene questo evento con un "Myron Floren Tribute Concert". Questo concerto tributo includerà discussioni storiche sulla vita di Myron, la sua musica e la sua influenza. Verranno eseguite alcune delle musiche preferite di Myron, tra cui le sue composizioni, arrangiamenti e canzoni e il Lawrence Welk TV Show che è stato così incredibilmente popolare in tutti gli Stati Uniti. Domenica mattina, 7 maggio 2023, i membri del Museo e gli amici si uniranno nuovamente a Mike Middleton con Mike & The Middletones Trio che ospiterà un servizio musicale di polka alle 10:00.  Atlanta, Georgia, USA celebrerà la Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica (WAD) con una speciale presentazione di musica dal vivo, organizzata da Village Music and Accordionology il 6 maggio 2023 dalle 11:00 alle 15:00.L'evento si terrà presso il Wild Heaven Beer Garden, Avondale Estates, Georgia con esibizioni di Gabe Granitz, Dan Coy, Nick Edelstein e altri. Altri eventi includono una sessione "Open Jam", dove i fisarmonicisti sono invitati a portare i loro strumenti e partecipare, nonché un "Mini-museo" con strumenti esposti dal 1840 al 2022.
