 Ancora una volta il 6 maggio, Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica, si avvicina. Ci saranno eventi fisarmonica, alcuni appositamente programmati, che si svolgeranno in tutto il mondo per celebrare 'il compleanno ufficiale' della fisarmonica.Applaudiamo e sosteniamo coloro che commemorano questa data importante. Era il 6 maggio 1829, quando la fisarmonica fu brevettata a Vienna, Austria, da Cyrillius Demien (ci sono varie grafie del suo nome), e la fisarmonica si è sviluppata notevolmente in tutti i modi da allora. La fisarmonica esiste oggi in varie forme, ma tutte devono la loro origine a Demien e i suoi contemporanei nella prima parte del 19° secolo. Ora abbiamo un ricco patrimonio, e non bisogna dimenticare gli sforzi e la dedizione di quei primi pionieri della fisarmonica. |

 Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica - Celebriamo la Fisarmonica!Il 6 maggio vedrà la celebrazione della Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica da molti fisarmonicisti di tutto il mondo. Un progetto della Confédération Internationale des accordéonistes (CIA), coordinato dal Membro del Comitato Musica CIA Grayson Masefield, la 5°celebrazione annuale ha assunto diversi formati interessanti nel corso della sua breve evoluzione. Invitiamo coloro che celebrano la Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica a presentare video e immagini delle loro attività alla CIA in modo che, così che mentre correlando le varie attività otterremo una sezione meravigliosa dei tanti volti della fisarmonica in tutto il mondo. Durante la Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica, i membri della CIA Executive saranno in Finlandia presso il quartier generale della CIA, a lavorare su piani per pubblicizzare gli eventi di quest'anno e a esplorare le possibilità di un evento live per il prossimo anno, che sarà discusso dai Delegati della CIA presso la prossima Assemblea generale a Salisburgo, in Austria nel corso dell'anno.  Night Flowers N. di catalogo: CD026 eseguito da Friedrich LipsMichael Bronner ha scritto diversi cicli di "canzoni ebraiche" per diversi ensemble: per violino, tuba e orchestra da camera, per coro e pianoforte, per orchestra con strumenti popolari ... "Seven Jewish Songs" per fisarmonica e orchestra includono sia i nuovi pezzi che composizioni di altri cicli. "Three Chorale Preludes " sono stati originariamente scritti per organo da Johannes Brahms. La disposizione per violoncello e fisarmonica viene da V. Tonkha e Friedrich Lips. "Dance Tatarian" di Sofia Gubaidulina è una canzone di compleanno scherzosa per il compositore e amico Viktor Suslin. Il piccolo pezzo efficace è stato scritto per un insolito ensemble di fisarmonica e due contrabbassi. E' anche insolito l'uso del tradizionale Tatar pentatonico nella musica moderna. "Moment " di Alexander Cholminov è l'ultimo lavoro di uno dei più grandi compositori russi del XX secolo. E' solo un piccolo schizzo, ma molto convincente: la meditazione sulla soglia dell'eternità... In continuazione della sua serie sui "fiori" Tatiana Sergeyeva ha scritto l'affascinante miniatura "Night Flowers ". Una certa aleatoria nelle note musicali conferisce al pezzo un tocco speziato.  Che grande week-end è stato, cordiale e pieno di meravigliosa musica con molti concorrenti che hanno gareggiato nel 69° Campionato della Fisarmonica dell'Organizzazione Nazionale Fisarmonica del Regno Unito (NAO)!A fare un ritorno molto popolare al festival è stato Pietro Adragna (Italia) la cui performance il venerdì sera era piena di carattere e ha affascinato il pubblico. Quest'anno il famoso Arthur Campana Memorial Trophy NAO (17 & Under) ha celebrato il suo 50° anniversario, e per la prima volta nella storia è stato vinto per il 3° anno consecutivo dal 15enne Alexander Bodell (foto a sinistra), che si è aggiudicato anche il 1° posto nei seniors Solo e Polka. Altre incredibili performance soliste (in ordine alfabetico) includono Annalize Bodell, Roseanna Bodell, Fraser Hewitt, Graham Laurie, Kyle Rowan e Jonathon Wilson, nonché eccellenti esibzioni orchestrali dell'Accordion Orchestra Killyglen dall'Irlanda del Nord, l'Accordion Burton Group e il Colchester Accordion ensemble. Anna Bodell è stata premiata durante il festival con premio il NAO Associate, che ha completato il suo periodo di 3 anni in carica come presidente NAO.  Don Lipovac, un americano di origine slovena. Dall'età di otto anni ha iniziato a prendere lezioni di fisarmonica con Alfred Vacca di Kansas City. Si è laureato con una laurea in teoria musicale e educazione musicale.Nel 1958, Don srrivò 1° al concorso nazionale dell'American Accordionists' Association (AAA) tenutosi a New York. Questo è stato il catalizzatore per la lunga carriera di Don nella musica, che comprendeva anche un'apparizione nello show televisivo Lawrence Welk, l'esibizione alla Carnegie Hall, e come solista ospite alla Kansas City Philharmonic e Symphony Orchestras. Don Lipovac formò un trio nel 1950, che ha ampliato nella Don Lipovac Orchestra, ed è diventata una grande attrazione a livello nazionale. Tra i numerosi premi ricevuti durante la sua carriera il Tamburitz National Hall of Fame Award nel 1977, il ‘Polka Hall of Fame’ Award all'Iron World Chisholm, Minnesota, nel 1992, e un ‘National Cleveland-Style Hall of Fame’ Lifetime Achievement Award, riconoscendolo per la conservazione e la promozione del patrimonio culturale sloveno a Cleveland, Ohio, nel 2006.  Students from East Antrim Accordion School had a very successful time at the 43rd All Ireland Festival held in the Castle Arch Hotel, Trim, Co Meath, last weekend. Six students from the School took part and between them they were awarded a total of 2 Firsts, 2 Thirds and 3 Gold medals.First prizes were awarded to Louise Boomer from Newtownabbey in the Adult Solo and Jonathan Wilson (Larne) and Emma Dunlop (Carrickfergus) in the Higher Junior Duet whilst Jonathan and Emma were both awarded third prize in their respective Quatro & Terzo Solo Recital Classes. The Gold medals were awarded to Larne lassies Hannah Blackburn in the Terzo Recital, Lauren Blackburn in the Junior Solo and Shannon Brown in the Preparatory Solo. The East Antrim students were the only competitors from Northern Ireland to take part in the musical extravaganza which ran over two days and attracted the cream of Irish accordionists with over 200 competitors. The adjudicator was Graham Laurie ABCA (TD), LBCA (picture left) from Glasgow. Principle of East Antrim Accordion School Clyde Johnston stated he was delighted with how his students had performed. The standard at the Championships was very high and to win such prestigious acclaim was an excellent achievement. They performed to a very high standard and were great ambassadors for the East Antrim Area. Open to all ages from 5 years upwards East Antrim Accordion School is organised along similar lines to piano schools with pupils being taught to read music and play both the treble and bass keyboards of this very popular instrument. They can also be prepared for examinations, as set by the British College of Accordionists, compete in various music festivals or simply play for fun. In addition the school runs music theory classes in the summer which is open to all music students, not just accordionists. Anyone interested in learning to play the accordion or learn music theory should contact Clyde Johnston.  Lars Ek announces that the International Frosini Society now has a very rare composition by Pietro Frosini named ‘Chalice’, dated 1908. This is one of the few compositions Frosini wrote for the piano, but is also suitable for accordion. Lars Ek asks, “Will you be the first to play it in public ....?!” The IFS website music archive has the original sheet music, which includes a unique picture of Frosini on the cover.  The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending May 5th 2000 included a report about Russian accordionist performing in Ireland in a concert that also featured no less than three local accordion orchestras. Recent years have seen many more accordionists doing international travel, taking their music to distant lands. The world is becoming a smaller place!Russian Accordionist Performs in Ireland Contributed by Enda Kelly The Heritage town of Kells in Co. Meath, Ireland was the venue for an exciting evening of accordion music on April 30th. Guest Alexander Korbakov gave a recital of classical and Russian folk music, delighting the audience with his free bass repertoire and interpretation of Russian folk tunes. The concert also included performances by the Oristown Intermediate Accordion Orchestra and the Castletown Senior and Preparatory Accordion Orchestras. The Oristown AO performed a popular program including ‘Irish Suite’, ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Time to say Goodbye’. The orchestra will give a recital in their hometown of Kells on July 2nd, prior to their trip to the UK where they will take part in the European Concert Band Competition as part of the Midsomer Norton Mardi Gras Festival. The Orchestra would like to contact other accordion orchestras in Europe who may be interested in an exchange or twinning program. |

 Torna a suonare in terra pontina il maestro Marco Lo Russo, domenica 04 Maggio alle 18.30, sarà al teatro Remigio Paone di Formia.Il concerto, a favore dell’A.I.Lam, l’Associazione italiana creata a sostegno dei malati colpiti da una rara malattia polmonare degenerativa, si prefigge anche, di promuovere con urgenza la ricerca di un trattamento efficace e di una cura per la linfangioleiomiomatosi, s’inserisce nella rassegna Festival di Primavera. Quest’anno lo spettacolo proposto dal maestro Lo Russo, abbraccerà le sensuali note del suo mix di tango, della world music con contaminazioni elettroniche e vedrà la partecipazione straordinaria dei ballerini e coreografi Roberta Giddio e Cristian Petricca. Come sempre la performance sarà caratterizzata dal dialogo del Maestro Lo Russo, con il pubblico, che illustrerà aneddoti musicali curiosi e aspetti colti della letteratura musicale. Un viaggio musicale, per fisarmonica solista, nel sensuale mondo della world music contaminata dalle sonorità elettroniche, proprio da non perdere, Domenica 04 Maggio alle 18.30 Teatro Remigio Paone di Formia, al termine del concerto Milonga per tutti con Cristian Petricca che, da ballerino, vestirà i panni del musicalizator ber farci ballare al ritmo di Tango. | ‘Accordions at the Castle’ takes place at the Norbreck Castle Hotel, Blackpool, from May 11th to 16th. The festival includes concerts, workshops, a master class with Ian Watson (who will also speak on behalf of the newly formed United Kingdom Association of Accordion Teachers), ‘meet the guest’ sessions, dancing, and a trade show. The guests include Giancarlo Caporilli (Italy), David Vernon (Scotland), Denise Leigh (operatic soprano) & Stefan Andrusyschyn (accordion), Harry Hussey, Gennaro Ruffolo (Italy), Rosemary Wright, and Bert Santilly. Caroline Hunt (Scotland) will display some of her fascinating collection of antique accordions and memorabilia, which will be an interesting special attraction and well worth seeing. The festival organiser is Heather Smith. There is also an organ/keyboard festival taking place in the hotel, which has its own huge trade show and is open to all.
