 Importante appuntamento per Renzo Ruggieri che ha suonato nel Tour “Il Viaggio di Van Gogh e Gauguin” curata dal grande critico d’arte Marco Goldin durante tutto il mese di novembre. Il tour ha toccato tutte le grandi città italiane (Verona, Venezia, Torino, Milano, Bologna, etc.) fino a Genova che ospita fisicamente la mostra fino ad Aprile 2012. Fra i 150 quadri esposti opere immortali come “Il Seminatore”, “Autoritratto” (Van Gogh), “Da dove veniamo, chi siamo, dove andiamo” (Gauguin, opera arrivata in Europa soltanto due volte in un secolo). Nell’orchestra Dante Alighieri di Ravenna anche Piero Salvatori (violoncello), Mauro Martello (flauto), Angelica Leo (attrice), Gilberto Colla (attore), Sandro Buzzatti (attore). XXVII FESTIVAL INTERNAZIONALE DI FISARMONICA- ST.PIETROBURGO- RUSSIAby Nadia Guseva |

 Il XXVII Festival internazionale della Fisarmonica si è svolto a St. Pietroburgo dal 4 al 6 novembre. Il Direttore Artistico di questo festival annuale è Alexdander Dimitriev, che ha scelto un tema speciale per ogni anno. Quest'anno il tema è stato il duetto.Il "Paris-Moscow Duo", Roman Jbanov e Dominique Emorine ha tenuto un concerto il primo giorno del Festival. La loro tecnica ha catturato il pubblico che è rimasto affascinato dalla profonda interpretazione dei pezzi scritti da Franck Angelis e dalla luminosità della musica Russa composta da Semionov, Novikov e Shalaev. Il secondo giorno è stato caratterizzato da due diversi duetti. Nella prima parte del concerto il pubblico è rimasto impressionato dall'esibizione di "Una Sinistra", due fisarmonicisti dalla russia- Yulia Amerikova e Alexander Selivanov. La trascrizione del Motion Trio "Libertin" con il suo ritmo di grande potenza energetica è diventato il pezzo più amato dal pubblico. La seconda parte del concerto è stata davvero speciale in quanto è stato il concerto del Giubileo di Alexander Dimitrieev avendo compiuto sessantanni. Fin dalle prime note ha conquistato il pubblico con una sorprendente e vigorosa esibizione di musica che è stata davvero emozionante. L'esibizione è stata continuata dal sapiente solista del figlio, Vitali Dimitriev. La parte finale non è stata da meno in quanto il duo Alexander Dmitrev e il figlio VitaliDmitriev hanno lasciato un'impressione tremenda ed il pubblico non voleva che i due musicisti abbandonassero il palco. Il concerto di Gala dell'ultimo giorno ha incluso non solo i musicisti delle due serate precedenti ma anche molti giovani che hanno vinto premi a prestigiose competizioni internazionali di fisarmonica. Alcuni di loro: Vitaly Pugachev, Alexander Kolomiytsev, Vladislav Ilyin, ed altri studenti dei collegi musicali di St Pietroburgo e del conservatorio di Rimsky-Korsakov. Tutti hanno mostrato una tecnica elevata ed un alto livello musicale. Alla fine del concerto ogni musicista è ritornato di nuovo sul palco ed il pubblico ha avuto un'ulteriore opportunità di applaudire tutti i partecipanti del XXVII Festival Internazionale della Fisarmonica di St Pitetroburgo 2011. |

| The Viennese Accordion Ensemble, directed by Werner Weibert, celebrated its annual festival concert in the newly opened concert hall of Perchtoldsdorf Castle, near Vienna, on Friday, November 11th. Their program included works by Händel, Mozart, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Strauß and Piazzolla. The members of the well known group are: Ladies: Sylvia Zobek, Margarete Gebauer and Elisabeth Weibert Gentlemen: Werner Weibert, Guenther Zobek, Walter Dietz, Herbert Scheibenreif and Anton Barinka This year, percussionist Bernhard Winkler was the special attraction of the evening by performing Khatchaturian’s famous ‘Sabre Dance’ and ‘Circus Renz’ with the Viennese Accordion Ensemble. As usual, the concert was closed with some famous songs like ‘Lady Be Good’, ‘Drunken Sailor’, and ‘Java Jive’, which were well acclaimed by the public.  The accomplished Italian accordionist Debora Sbarra has released ‘Indios’, a new CD featuring ‘variety’ music. The title is probably derived from the first track, ‘Apache’, which was the first hit record for The Shadows back in 1960.The tracks include: Apache, Nabbini, Alabama, Czardas (Monti), Gio Mazurka, Cumbia Do Re, La Spizzicata, Pablito, Para Ti, Una Fisa per Vienna, Fascination, Libertango.  Yuval Avital, an Israeli composer living in Milan, has composed ‘Horror vacui’, for accordion septet, performed by an ensemble of Italian accordionists led by virtuoso Sergio Scappini. This recording took place at the RomaEuropa Festival, Teatro Palladium, Rome, on November 18th. ‘Horror vacui’ explores stillness and movement in sound throughout sonic textures combined rhythms and repeating fragments. The composition, dedicated to foremost North American composer and accordionist Pauline Oliveros, is a journey of listening to a continuous musical landscape, which (as in its title) never stops but always changes. | The Hohner-Handharmonika-Club Dresden-Leuben, Germany, celebrated 60 years of music making in November 1997, as reported in the Accordions Worldwide news for December 5th 1997. The history of this long established accordion orchestra includes surviving the exceptionally severe allied bombing raids of February 1945 which destroyed all their instruments, music and equipment. ACCORDION ORCHESTRA DRESDEN CELEBRATES 60th ANNIVERSARY - GERMANY Contributed by Andrea Rautenberg 60 years ago on November 13th 1937, the Hohner-Handharmonika-Club Dresden-Leuben had its first performance. To mark this occasion the Dresdner Akkordeonorchester e.V. organised a gala concert in the Congress Hall of the Hygienemuseum Dresden, performing to nearly 600 guests. With a program of mainly classic original accordion compositions, the ensemble, under the artistic direction of Anita Heinze (President of the Deutscher Harmonikaverband Sachsen) showed their high technical level with an enthusiastic performance. The thrilled audience demanded three encores and rewarded the orchestra with long applause and many, many flowers. To further celebrate this occasion the orchestra has edited a commemorative publication and arranged an exhibition about the history of the ensemble. Among the more than thirty musicians are many young people. Next year the orchestra will participate in the International Accordion Festival Insbruck again, where they have already twice reached ‘Excellent’ (1992 and 1995). |

| The duo Una Sinistra - Yulia Amerikova (piano accordion) and Alexander Selivanov (button accordion) - perform in the prestigious Green Hall, Yauza Palace, Moscow, on December 9th, 7.30pm. Their program includes compositions by Buxtehude, Couperin, Stravinsky, Schostakovich, Barber, and other classic composers from the 17th to the 20th Century, arranged for accordion duo by Yulia Amerikova. This concert follows very successful recent concerts at the Trophée Mondial in Pineto, the Castelfidardo Festival, the Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai and the 27th Festival of Music for Accordion, St Petersburg, Russia.  Leading concert accordionist Dr William Schimmel performs ‘Kammermusik No 1’, by Paul Hindemith, with the Orpheus Chamber Ensemble on December 3rd, 7pm, at the Stern Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, New York.On December 5th, 7.30pm, Dr Schimmel will perform in a concert version of ‘She Loves Me’ (Harnick and Bock) at The Stephen Sondheim Theater, Manhattan, sponsored by the Roundabout Theater Company. The concert will be conducted by Paul Gemignani. | Doppio appuntamento per questo inizio di dicembre con la musica d’autore del maestro Marco Lo Russo, il primo domenica a Sermoneta l’altro lunedì a Roma. Domenica 4 dicembre alle 17.30 nella chiesa di San Tommaso D'Aquino il maestro Lo Russo si cimenterà in variazioni linguistiche per fisarmonica sola, ossia un’escursione musicale fra il repertorio classico e le nuove melodie che ritroveremo anche nell'ultimo lavoro discografico del maestro presto in distribuzione. Lunedì 5 dicembre l’appuntamento è a "Tivoli Musica 2011 Concerti di mezzo inverno". La rassegna concertistica è inclusa nella programmazione comunale del "Natale a Tivoli 2011". Lo scenario è quello delle Scuderie Estensi costruite da Alessandro d'Este nel 1621 come stalla che poteva contenere 100 cavalli, il sito, oggi adibito a spazio espositivo, centro congressi e rassegne musicali, è utilizzato per gli eventi promossi dall'amministrazione comunale di Tivoli. Il concerto è inserito nelle celebrazioni per il 150° anniversario dell’Unità d’Italia, è il racconto, non ufficiale e frammentario, della nostra Nazione attraverso gli inni, i brani musicali e le canzoni popolari che hanno contribuito a costruire l’Italia. Sul palco ad interpretare le ballate in chiave jazzistica e a far rivivere i sospiri, le tensioni e le speranze di una storia lunga 150 anni, il Marco Lo Russo Trio con Marco Lo Russo alla fisarmonica, Fabrizio Mocata al pianoforte e Michele Staino al contrabbasso. |

 TOEAC Accordion Duo, from the Netherlands, end the year with some performances in China:December 9th - Oriental Art Center, Shanghai December 11th - Dalian Development Area Grand Theatre December 15th - National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing December 16th, 6.40pm – concert, followed by Gala Dinner, Grace Hotel, Beijing The TOEAC accordion duo are Renée Bekkers and Pieternel Berkers. Both began accordion classes at the age of nine at the school of music in Gemert, Netherlands. Their accomplishments include many competition successes, including 1st prize at the 'Premio Internazionale di Fisarmonica' in Castelfidardo, Italy in 2007. They are currently studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. | On Friday December 9th, 7.45pm, the Stockport Accordion Club Band (MD Derek Stubbs) and Orchestra (MD Brian Jenkins) perform their annual charity concert in aid of the East Cheshire Hospice at the Broken Cross Institute, Macclesfield, Cheshire. The organiser of this long running and well supported concert is the well-known fund raising accordionist John Jones, who has to date raised over £200,000 playing for various charities.  The band Uakti, featuring accordionist accordionist Tuur Florizoone, perform at Kraankindersstraat 2, B-9000 Ghent, Belgium, on December 9th, 10pm. Tuur Florizoone is a popular Flanders accordionist. Jazz is only of the many types of music he performs. Tuur Florizoone is comfortable in pop as well as world music. In 2008, during the prestigious World Soundtrack Awards (Ghent) his passionate score of the Flemish movie Adnrijding in Moscow (directed by Christophe Van Rompdey) achieved international success. |
