47° Concorso Internazionale di Fisarmonica, Klingenthal - Germaniaby Xenia Brunner |
 Il 47° Concorso Internazionale della Fisarmonica di Klingenthal si terrà dal 7 al13 Maggio 2010. Ad oggi l'Ufficio Organizzazione ha ricevuto 117 iscrizioni provenienti da 27 paesi; particolarmente ben rappresentati quest'anno sono la Russia con 18 richieste, la Cina con 12 e la Germania anch’essa con 12. Novità di quest'anno è la categoria VIII (gruppi di bandoneon). L'evento di quest'anno offrirà ancora un sofisticato e vario programma. Il preludio sarà il tradizionale concerto di primavera dell’orchestra comunale di Klingenthal il 7 maggio nella sala Amtsberg. Il concerto di apertura avrà luogo nel Royal Albert Theatre di Bad Elster. Dal prossimo anno in poi ci sarà anche un cambiamento di programmazione. Il concorso del 2011 comincerà di Lunedi e terminerà di Domenica con il concerto del vincitore. Questo cambiamento è stato deciso per consentire al pubblico di ascoltare le interessantissime prova seconda e prova finale della categoria IV nel corso di un lungo fine settimana, dal Venerdì alla Domenica. Le gare si svolgeranno nella Gliersaal e nell’Auditorium Amtsberg, e la Giuria Internazionale, presieduta dal Professor Jürgen Ganzer, sarà nuovamente composta da 16 membri. | Relazione sulla Musikmesse di Francoforte 2010 (2010 Frankfurt Musikmesse). L'internazionale Musikmesse / Prolight and Sound ha avuto luogo dal 24 al 27 Marzo; ed ha visto partecipare molti produttori di fisarmoniche. Per quattro giorni la Fiera di Francoforte e il Centro Esposizioni sono sono stati trasformati in un grande show di prodotti. La Musikmesse di Francoforte dichiara 2.340 espositori, il 62 per cento dei quali da fuori della Germania, e quasi 110.000 visitatori da 128 paesi, superando ogni previsione. Un totale di oltre 1.000 eventi in programma: concerti, sessioni, workshop e presentazioni speciali. Eccezionali artisti e personaggi noti del mondo della fisarmonica sono apparsi ogni giorno negli stand espositivi e sui palchi degli eventi. | Lunedi 22 marzo la Sala Mozart dell'Auditorium di Saragozza ha ospitato la prima mondiale del brano per orchestra sinfonica,' La nostra principessa è in un altro castello ', del giovane compositore spagnolo Oscar Piniella. La novità di questo lavoro è stato nell’organico strumentale, che include una sezione di fisarmoniche. Per questo speciale concerto presso l'Auditorium, l'orchestra è stata completata da cinque studenti di fisarmonica del Conservatorio Superiore di Musica di Aragona, Saragozza (www.csma.es), tutti allievi di Angel Luis Castaño. L’Orchestra Sinfonica CSMA è stata diretta da Juan Luis Martínez. Il compositore ha dichiarato alla stampa quotidiana regionale: "La mia musica è per una grande orchestra, tra cui un ensemble di fisarmoniche. Penso che sia molto bello ascoltare le fisarmoniche in mezzo agli archi." I fisarmonicisti erano Daniel Pérez (Cuenca), Xabier Olazabal, Adrian Lopez e Fernando Salinas (Pamplona), e Otavio de Assis (Brasile).  Il giovane lituano Rakauskas Augustinas (appena 17 anni), allievo di Grazina Lukostene, Presidente della Kaunas Accordion Association e docente presso il Conservatorio "J. Gruodis" di Kaunas si è fatto notare nel famoso programma "2 minuti di gloria", in onda sulla TV nazionale lituana.Augustinas ha inaugurato brillantemente il concorso a gennaio con una magistrale interpretazione dell’Inverno di Vivaldi. Ha poi suonato il mese scorso il famoso "Figaro" di Rossini, e questa performance lo ha catapultato direttamente in semi-finale con voto unanime di giuria e pubblico. Domenica scorsa, Augustinas è stato autore di una grande prova nell’interpretazione del brano francese "La Tempête" di André Astier, arrivando 1° nella selezione per le finali. I voti del pubblico, 4.566 contro I 2.600 del candidato in seconda posizione, hanno sancito stata una vittoria schiacciante per la fisarmonica e per Augustinas. Augustinas si sta ora preparando per la fase finale che si terrà a maggio, sotto la guida di Frédéric Deschamps, che ha aiutato il giovane artista con consigli tecnici e musicali tramite l'uso di Skype (via internet).  Il fisarmonicista Paul Chamberlain è stato il vincitore del 'Governor’s Recital Prize' alla Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama di Glasgow, in Scozia.Egli è il primo studente a studiare fisarmonica classica presso il RSAMD da quando il corso è stato è stato istituito all’interno del dipartimento delle tastiere nel 2008 ed è un grande risultato per lui aver vinto questo importante concorso che lo vedeva competere con 12 pianisti. Nel mese di febbraio Paul Chamberlain è stato anche premiato con il 2° posto nel 'Tony e Tania Webster Prize, che è consisteva nell’esecuzione di opere rare del repertorio russo. Attualmente al suo terzo anno di studi universitari sotto la guida di Djordje Gajic, Paul sta veramente elevando il profilo della fisarmonica in Scozia. |

| Performances of ‘Christus Oratorio’, composed and conducted by Olexiy Suslov, took place in Wroclaw and in Pawlowice, near Wroclaw. The composition was performed by the Sinaxis Choir, Wroclaw Private Music School S-ART Orchestra ‘Harmonica’, and the soprano Anna Wilczynska. The first concert was organized by the St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Association. His Excellency Archbishop Marian Golebiewski, Roman-Catholic Metropolitan of Wroclaw, and His Excellency Jeremiah, The Orthodox Archbishop of Wroclaw and Szczecin, both took patronage over this concert. The ‘Christus Oratorio’ was performed for the second time in Pawlowice (nearby Wroclaw) by the same group of musicians. The audience were delighted with the combination of breathtaking music and astonishing architecture of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Science. All present were moved by the performance of masterpiece of music. |

On the 25 and 26 March was held the International Accordion Montrond Les Bains. The competition included more than 85 participants from 24 different nationalities from some of the best music schools in the world. Maryll Abbas (20 years) former student of the EMCR received a 1st prize in the 3rd named Accordion Variété category and his teacher Camille Privat (24 years) also participated in the competition and won 1st Prize in the category Grand Prix Classic Concert. Team Deschamps participated for the first time at this unique international competition in France, with great success. These students had already shone in 2009, winning 14 first places and 28 placings in international competitions such as Klingenthal, Coupe Mondiale, Trophee Mondiale, Castelfidardo, Spoleto, Ikaalinen, etc..  Vivant! members Julie Silfverberg, Dee Sligar and Karen Fremar presented a workshop for the Federated Teachers of Music and Fine Arts of the Greater Kansas City Area on March 23rd. Vivanter! presented several numbers to illustrate what music is possible on the accordion and explained the theoretical basis of the bass mechanism. In discussing the history of the accordion and its development, they demonstrated the Cheng and opened up a 120-bass instrument to show the inner workings of the instrument. Then the real fun began, when five teachers were selected to put on 12-bass instruments and learn what it really feels like to play an accordion. These five esteemed piano instructors quickly dissolved into being like kids in a candy store. All at the workshop recognized how easy it would be to transfer the knowledge their piano students already have to the piano keyboard of the accordion. After only some brief training, the teachers had mastered the 12-bass button board, and they were ready to perform a few numbers together. All enjoyed the experience and came away with new found appreciation of the accordion. They were even discussing where they might buy an accordion and planning a future performance for their banquet meeting in May!! | A pop rock band will represent Slovenia in this year's Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Narodno zabavni rok’, a tune combining accordion-pop music with rock rhythm. Ansambel Roka Zlindre & Kalamari won an overwhelming 15,907 votes in a televote, far ahead of the runner-up, who received only just over 3,500 calls in the finals of the national EMA 2010 contest. This was the first time ever for the Slovenian Eurovision Song contestant to be selected only by the audience, rather than by a judging panel or a vote combining the two. Hosted by the public broadcaster TV Slovenija at the Ljubljana fairground Gospodarsko razstavisce, Sunday's contest featured 14 bands and singers. The Slovenian contestant will attempt to win a place in the May 29th finals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo at the semi-final on May 27th. |

 The 2010 AATA Australian International Accordion Championships and Festival is approaching and promising to be, once again, an exciting and fun event. This festival, organised by the Australian Accordion Teachers Association will be held on June 12th and 13th. Competition entries close on May 1st and entrants from all over the world are welcome. Traditionally, the most popular part of the event is the annual Gala Concert which will be held on June 13th at 2pm at the Auditorium of Club Marconi, which is a superb professional concert venue with excellent lighting and sound.
