 Il Festival internazionale della fisarmonica di Castelfidardo che si svolgerà dal 5 al 10 ottobre 2010 presenta un calendario ricco di coinvolgenti appuntamenti musicali. La formula del FIF propone quest’anno ai visitatori sette aree evento, tutte ad ingresso gratuito: il GRAN GALÀ DI APERTURA (5 ottobre 2010) e le SERATE DI GALA al Teatro Astra; i concerti nella suggestiva cornice dell’AUDITORIUM SAN FRANCESCO; la nuova location “on the road” del MUSIC REALITY SHOW e il BABY MUSIC CLUB dedicato ai più piccoli. Daily Reports: 2010 Concorso Il MUSIC&CO torna quest’anno ancora più ricco di proposte: concerti live, presentazioni editoriali e discografiche, lo Shop point con l’abbigliamento e gli access! ori esclusivi firmati FIF, l’Infopoint, le mostre e le esposizioni di strumenti musicali. Tra le novità di quest’anno i prestigiosi concerti di musica classica e lirica al SALONE DEGLI STEMMI e le proiezioni cinematografiche all’Auditorium San Francesco. Per concludere la serata è d’obbligo “la tappa” all’ON STAGE-Dopo Festival per concerti ricchi di sperimentazioni musicali.  Il 60° Trofeo (Trophée) Mondiale si è svolto a Vigo in Spagna dal 21 al 25 Settembre.Rapporti giornalieri e risultati completi sono sul sito web della Confédération Mondiale de l'Accordéon (CMA). Grayson Masefield (Nuova Zelanda) ha vinto il 60 ° Trophée Mondiale, prima volta per un concorrente proveniente dal Sud dell’equatore.  Domenica 19 settembre le borse di studio Accordion Examination Board of New Zealand Allan William Jones Memorial (AWJMS) sono state assegnate presso il rinnovato Teatro Brian Gerrard al Birkenhead College di Auckland, in Nuova Zelanda. Notevoli le esecuzioni musicale hanno sottolineato l’evento, con Noteable Soundz Plus, Patrick Lui, Oriental Quintet, Jessica Chen, Noteable Soundz, Music Makers, Eddie Giffney e NSAO (North Shore Accordion Orchestra).Le borse di studio sono state assegnate a Helen Wang (gradi 3 e 4) e Eddie Giffney (grado 7, 8 e diploma). Il Douglas Mews Rose Bowl 'per eccellenza' è stato assegnato a Eddie Giffney. Il Merit Award 2010 è stato assegnato al grande successo popolare di Lionel Reekie, direttore d'orchestra, insegnante e musicista noto che ha viaggiato in Australia, Sud Est Asiatico, Cina, Russia, Europa e Nord America, suonando e cantando. | Il 30 settembre l'etichetta discografica Oclassica, con sede a Riga, Lettonia, ha stipulato un contratto discografico con il fisarmonicista russo Evgeny Kochetov. L'etichetta ha dichiarato: "Siamo ansiosi di lavorare con Evgeny, abbiamo in programma una notevole seria di registrazioni di alto livello". Evgeny Kochetov (nato nel 1980) è il vincitore di numerosi concorsi internazionali, ed è un artista concertista di primo piano. O?lassica è un'etichetta musicale europea per la musica classica, specializzata in marketing online e download di musica in formato digitale. O?lassica detiene in esclusiva i diritti digitali per la maggior parte delle registrazioni di musica classica realizzati negli ultimi dieci anni sul territorio ex-sovietico, che non era mai stato rilasciato a causa di crisi economiche e politiche. | Al Conservatorio di Musica Tchaikovsky di Nocera Terinese, è ora la volta di Massimilano Pitocco, docente di fisarmonica bajan presso il Conservatorio S.Cecilia di Roma. È partita infatti il a settembre 2010, presso il Tchaikovsky la mastercalss di fisarmonica bajan tenuta da Pitocco in collaborazione con il bravissimo didatta e concertista M°Giuseppe Scigliano, titolare al Tchaikovsky. La masterclass sancisce il proficuo inizio di una collaborazione tra le due cattedre e, quindi, tra il Conservatorio di Nocera e quello di Roma, una sinergia nata con la ferma volontà di voler puntare in modo sistematico sull’alta formazione della fisarmonica bajan, strumento colto. Un lavoro di promozione, diffusione e circolazione della musica su questo strumento che si intende portare avanti con le migliori competenze che ci sono nel settore. Al Tchaikovsky la cattedra di fisarmonica ad oggi conta un considerevole numero di studenti, al punto da essere la prima in Italia per numero di iscritti, sapientemente preparati e con un eccellente livello di preparazione riconosciuto dallo stesso Pitocco. E questa collaborazione tra le due cattedre nasce proprio in virtù di questa volontà». Grande soddisfazione, quindi, da parte del direttore del Tchaikovsky, il M°Pierfrancesco Pullia, che ha dichiarato: «Questa con la cattedra di fisarmonica bayan del Santa Cecilia di Roma è una collaborazione sentita. La professionalità dimostrata è ineccepibile e lo dimostrano non solo le straordinarie carriere e i numerosi riconoscimenti pubblici riservati ai docenti in questione, ma anche la qualità e l’abilità dimostrata dalla preparazione degli studenti, con risultati importanti raggiunti sia nell’ambito delle attività concertistiche che nelle competizioni musicali internazionali, contribuendo in modo determinate a portare in Europa il nome della Calabria sul profilo formativo e della qualità didattica. |

| “Màs en Tango” è il nuovo progetto del fisarmonicista Salvatore Cauteruccio con il contrabbassista Sasà Calabrese e il batterista Fabrizio La Fauci. Group che presenta standard appartenenti al repertorio fisarmonicistico: jazz tango, latin, waltz musette e altro. L'esperienza e il feeling che accomuna i tre musicisti calabresi sono gli elementi che caratterizzano un concerto gradevole dal sound raffinato e dalle interpretazioni improvvisate. Salvatore Cauteruccio ha studiato jazz presso il Conservatorio G.Braga di Teramo sotto la guida del M°Renzo Ruggieri. Da leader ha inciso “Tangout” (disco che riceve la nomination orpheus come miglior cd per fisarmonica jazz nel 2008) e “Live in studio”.  The second annual French-Russian ‘Sancybérie’ festival took place in the Auvergne region, France, from September 4th to 13th. The 10 exceptional concerts of French and Russian performers was organised by the Paris Moscou duo players Roman Jbanov and Domi Emorine. The concerts in the cities of Auvergne, Saint Sauves, Ceyrat, Perpezat, Menat, Saint-Nectaire, Messeix , Egliseneuve Entraigues, La Bourboule, Bromont-Lamothe and Le Mont-Dore were a nightly show of exceptional quality, combining music, dance and visual art. An enthusiastic public filled all the available space in various halls. The undeniable cultural link between Russia and France is the accordion, one of the most popular French and Russian folk instruments. It is therefore natural that it held a prominent place in the artistic program of the Festival 2010. Indeed, the first part of the shows were provided by French artists: the duet "Paris-Moscou" with Domi and Roman Emorine Jbanov accordion and the Quartet "3 cons 1" Domi Emorine combined with, Pierre Laval and Felicien Brut (accordion) accompanied by Thierry Moncheny (guitar). Also on stage was Sergei Nazarov with his poetry and artistic mastery. There were 16 young dancers from the collective "Vykroutassy" and 8 musicians of all instruments, plus the popular "Sybir" from distant Siberia with their rhythms and melodies of Russian and colorful folk costumes.  John Kirkpatrick performs at The Royal Oak, Station St, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 2DA on Thursday October 7th, 8pm. This is the opening event of the annual Lewes Folk Festival.John Kirkpatrick, 3-row diatonic accordion, melodeon and Anglo concertina, is one of the busiest, most popular and highly regarded figures on the English folk scene, performing solo, in duos, acoustic groups and electric bands. He has an enviable reputation as an instrumental virtuoso and session musician, as well as a leading interpreter of English folk music and song. He has been a member of the Albion Country Band, Magic Lantern, The Richard Thompson Band, Umps and Dumps, Steeleye Span, Brass Monkey, Trans-Europe Diatonique, and Band of Hope, as well as in numerous ceilidh bands. It is in a solo capacity that he performs at the festival. |

 Antonio Spaccarotella and Danilo Di Paolonicola will hold a master class for diatonic accordion on Saturday October 9th at Via Mazzini, 11 at Music & Co. area, Castelfidardo. This event is part of the 35th International Accordion Festival.There will be two sessions, from 9am to 1pm, and from 3pm to 5pm, and the course, in Italian and English, is open to musicians of diatonic accordion of basic or advanced level. There will be a maximum of 10 students and space for up to 60 listeners. The master class is open to all those who play the diatonic accordion (2, 4, 8, 12 and 18 basses), and who want to improve technical and interpretative aspects and expand their repertoire. The master class will be divided into two parts: theory and practice, though the ability to read music is not essential. The master class will use ethnic and folk music. • The first session will address the following topics: construction of harmonies, scales, harmonic functions, melody, analysis of the rhythms most used, analysis of score, notes on improvisation. • The second part will be devoted almost exclusively to the instrument: use of the bellows (dynamics, effects, etc..), harmonization of bass, the arrangements possible with the right hand (depending on the instrument used), the study of joints, effects of the instrument, as improve their technique in a short time, perfecting the songs already assimilated, Saltarello Abruzzese (studying phraseology, expression and style, use of low tones, the use of bellows, effects, introduction of melodic patterns and rhythmic figures, improvisation). | The accordion orchestra Euphonia (MD Sonja Merz) celebrates 25 years since foundation with two concerts in November. The ensemble Akkorde 0n Fire also performs on both dates. The dates are: November 6th, 6pm – 8.30pm, at the Konzertsaal im Kant-Gymnasium, Bismarckstr. 54, Spandau, Berlin – admission is free November 13th, 6 pm - Bürgersaal in Berlin-Zehlendorf, Teltower Damm 18; admission: 7 Euro, reduced 4.50 Euro What began 25 years ago with four accordion pupils has developed in recent years into a resounding success story: the accordion orchestra Euphonia, from Berlin, has received international awards on several occasions for its expressive musical interpretations. Guest performances have included two concert tours in China. Euphonia is always ready to present new musical styles to its audience – in the last few years, Argentinean tango, with the legendary bandoneon player Luis Stazo. With the concert ‘Euphoniale’ the orchestra will be celebrating a quarter-century of “accordion with passion”.
