Welcome to the NAA Online Training Center. I have accepted the position of NAA Training Center Coordinator. While I am a professional accordionist with an earned doctorate in education (Ed.D.), I need a lot of help from the accordion world. Notice that we have three sections on this website for this reason. Review each of the three Moving Forward web pages and contribute your expertise. Remember, the newly reorganized NAA is now an official membership-driven, non-profit organization.

As an Association member, what would you like to see presented on these training web pages?
Talk to Your leadership and fellow musicians!
In order to continue their businesses in such a time as this, music teachers are being more creative than ever. Because of technology, learning continues in spite of Covid-19! Teachers are continuing to teach students private lessons, and now even more via digital formats. Perhaps you are already experienced as a music teacher or student. Is there more information you would like to see concerning teaching or learning the accordion? Please let us know! How about ideas for short clips addressing smaller issues (4-5 minutes in length) that could be addressed in Youtube videos? We are excited to hear YOUR ideas!
Are we involved in the "commercial music" arena?
Yes, we are! While the NAA is a non-profit organization, our membership is encouraged to earn money while having fun.
The accordion can make us money.
The pandemic has managed to call a halt to most of our commercial endeavors this spring and summer, but it's time for accordionists to be creative in finding playing engagements again. We can work together by sharing ideas. Remember that the more the public sees and hears accordion music being performed, the more they want us to perform.
We are waiting for your recommendations and helpful hints. What ideas have you used personally, or observed in other musicians, to revive lagging playing engagements? Look beyond the tried-and-true venues that we have known in the past. Observe the music world in general. Believe it or not, observing how other instruments are showcased may give us ideas that would work just fine for our accordions!
