EDITORS
NOTE
|
Music is often studied in parallel with literature
and other arts and today in this "information age", there are now
many books, magazines and articles available of interest to accordionists.
Types of accordion literature include methodology books on how to
improve playing or teaching skills, history, instrument making and
repair etc.
Accordions
Worldwide has also been helping this flow of information with
an "Articles"
section about many accordion subjects. Unfortunately, we have very
few articles concerning the concertina, an important member of our
bellows driven community. We believe that there has been a lot written
about this wonderful instrument, so if you have something suitable,
please send it to us
for publication.
Help us continue the spread of information that
the internet is so efficiently able to make available.

Ruggieri took part in an unusual and interesting group in a

Angelozzi (harp), presented several pieces of Indian music alongside
a few well-known classics of Afro-American music.
The Indian repertoire was characterized by preordained
scales ("raga"), which dominate the pieces while leaving a high
degree of creative freedom to the performer. The most successful
