Note
Technology and the world of the accordion.
This week, the Confederation
Interationale des Accordeonistes announces its new Coupe
Mondiale website with online entry submit forms, payment by credit
card, test piece music sent by email. The impact of modern technology
and how it may benefit our beloved family of bellows instruments in
the future, has often been discussed by accordionists. Incredible
future changes may be possible.
Next week, we will make a readers poll to find what existing accordion
related technologies our readers like, what do they not like, what
future technologies excite and interest them and where they think
technology will benefit the accordion in future. Please send me any
questions you consider should be included in this "Technology
and the Accordion" poll to harley@accordions.com

sponsored by St George Bristol, will be held on 11 March at the St.

the sensual rhythms of the street into the international limelight.
Richard Galliano, one of France's most famous accordionists and his
ensemble, pay tribute with their intoxicating and seductive program
for accordion and small chamber orchestra. An interesting feature
