presented by the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International to be held
in Minneapolis, Minnesota August 13-16, 2009. The ATG festival included informational and educational workshops, concerts, forums, displays, performances and competitions. Workshops included topics and demonstrations by Drs. Helmi Harrington & Marion Jacobson, Dan Newton, MusikGarten, Orkestar Bez Ime with Dee Langley, Alexander Sevastian, Don McMahon, and Michele Boddicker Scheffler among others. James Touchi-Peters, Conductor Emeritus of the Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra, was the guest conductor for the ATG Festival Orchestra. The festival/convention concluded on Sunday with a sightseeing tour that included a special behind the scenes tour of the Science Museum of Minnesota, entrance to the Titanic Artifacts Exhibit and a Sunset Mississippi River Dinner Cruise.
