THE
REASONS WHY I BELONG TO THE ATG:
"I
am a member of the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International because
it is an organization that brings together a wonderful and varied group
of people devoted to excellence in both performance and pedagogy of the
accordion to share their accomplishments and encourage all of us to a higher
standard of musicianship."

of the Board of Directors of the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International
(ATG)
"There
are many reasons why I belong to the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International.
I suspect one of the strongest reasons is that I feel a great debt of personal
gratitude to the educational opportunities it has afforded me throughout
my lifetime, beginning with my first attendance at an ATG Workshop and Concert
at the age of 16 while studying with Anthony Galla-Rini in a Master Class
in New York City. Later it allowed me the opportunity to travel to Great
Britain and Switzerland as its representative in the Coupe Mondiale, where
I heard accordion playing that I never imagined possible and met accordionists,
young and old, students and professionals, from all parts of the globe.
It kindled my lifelong interest in teaching, conducting, performing and
persuading others to share my passion for music and the accordion. I am
truly thankful for the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International,
and the enduring goals its past leadership helped foster in all future generations
of American accordionists."
